Being stuck at home is boring and pretty draining, so it is not a reach to say that a lot of our homes are now full of wine bottles that are just lying around. Malaika Arora’s recent post on social media contains a great solution to the piling wine bottle problem.
Taking up a DIY project while at home is not a bad idea either. It is common to see people get restless and go out for a ‘breath of fresh air’ but as of right now, fresh air might not be the best thing for us. Staying inside is much safer.

As you can see in Malaika’s background, she has made judicious use of wine bottles to create some gorgeous candle holders that can be used as decor or functional pieces within the house!
Making your own candle holder is pretty simple.
One of the easiest ways to take an empty wine bottle — they usually tend to look gorgeous — and put a long thin candle at the mouth. Once fixed there, it will look pretty great. If you want a simple look, you don’t even need to take off the label!

If you are looking for something a little more elegant and are willing to put in the time, you can make some gorgeous candle holders for floating candles. All you need to learn is how to cut glass without hurting yourself.

Another great way to turn wine bottles into candle holders is by adding a little green in them. If you have see-through bottles that are pretty enough to be turned into decor, you should take their labels off, clean them thoroughly, and insert a bit of vine or plant cuttings within the bottle to make it look charming.
You don’t even need fancy candles for this! You can just use the normal long white ones that are usually reserved for when ‘light nahi hai’. These would be perfect for a romantic dinner or proper pampers sesh.
